when you close your eyes, you see what most of us would call “nothing” – the place behind the eyelids. but if you sit in that space for long enough, shapes, colours, dances, energy begin to emerge from the nothingness. you can’t really label these patterns and colours as “things” or assign them any meaning. but!!! if you were in that space for long enough, and you truly immersed yourself in being with these shapes, this energy, soon they would begin to mean something to you. you could, if you felt so inclined, begin to name things that came forth out of this “nothingness.” you could assign them purpose. you could identify with these things and develop a relationship with them. you could begin to see yourself in relation to them! if right now you began to sit, and nothing moved you and compelled you to stop sitting in this space, soon enough you would find yourself in a definite world of “things.” observing and interacting with these things that came from a “nothingness” that was, of course, always a simmering universe of energy. already this is where we find ourselves! you are a spark of witnessing, that has come from seeming “nothingness,” and has called out of this “nothingness,” a bountiful world os “somethingness” to interact and identify with, creating illusions of separate “things” which are really just a bubbling mass of BEING.
