i don’t feel like doing anything today. and usually ((like a couple of weeks ago)) i would have taken that as a sign that my progress was unravelling, as a “setback.” but it’s literally just part of the cycle of the universe! some days you feel like doing everything, so you do! other days you feel like doing nothing, so do nothing! both are equally as satisfying. because satisfaction doesn’t have to come from “getting things done.” it comes from listening to how you feel and honouring those feelings. it feels so simple and natural but we’ve strayed so far from it. if you’re hungry, you eat. if you’re sleepy, you sleep. if you need to pee, you pee. if you’re sad, you cry. if you’re happy, you laugh. if you have energy, use it. if you don’t, rest. simply feel what you feel and follow those feelings to their respective actions.
